The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and friendly interactions in a fast-paced, festive environment. English proficiency and the ability to work afternoons/evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to count and perform simple math accurately.
• Ability to identify and differentiate produce items and codes.
• Must successfully complete Vallarta Supermarkets Cashier Training Program.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and team members using Vallarta’s six steps of extraordinary service.
• Operate cash register systems and balance the till.
• Bag groceries and stock front-end merchandise.
• Keep check stand clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Follow money handling procedures and perform basic math checks.
• Assist customers and call for management when needed.
• Offer carry-out assistance for large orders.
