Responsibilities include:

1. Providing efficient and courteous service to customers at all times, including managing check-outs and ensuring registers are not signed off with customers waiting.
2. Scanning and ringing customer orders according to company policies, ensuring items are credited correctly and removed from carts.
3. Handling and being accountable for all transaction funds.
4. Assisting courtesy clerks in bagging groceries.
5. Maintaining a neat and clean work station.
6. Following all applicable laws regarding alcohol sales, WIC handling, coupon processing, and tendering procedures.
7. Proper use of assigned tills and transaction procedures including Debit/Credit/EBT cards.
8. Taking weekly produce tests and recording not-on-file items daily.
9. Using the intercom properly, avoiding conversations during checkouts, and understanding the ValuCard program.
10. Assisting with light stocking duties and maintaining cleanliness in the store, including bathrooms.
11. Performing other duties as needed.
