Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Responsibilities

1. Support the "Cavender's Culture" by embodying our Mission, Vision, and Values.
2. Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
4. Understand and follow CBC policies and procedures.
5. Handle all cashiering transactions including cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
6. Enter all sales and cash in the register promptly.
7. Assist with stocking and store organization as needed.
8. Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases.
9. Arrive promptly, dressed appropriately, and groomed neatly.
10. Stay security conscious at all times.
11. Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information.
12. Stay updated on current promotions and pricing.
13. Manage inventory control on boots and check for mis-mates.
14. Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets.
15. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
16. Coordinate with supervisors to meet company goals related to sales and performance metrics.
