Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all paperwork related to cashiering. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Responsibilities

• Support the company's culture and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Know CBC policies and cashiering procedures, including sales, check transactions, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges
• Enter all sales and cash accurately at the register
• Assist with stocking and store organization
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases
• Arrive promptly, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately
• Remain security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information
• Stay updated on current promotions and inventory, especially boots
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform other duties as assigned and collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals
