Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining the store's cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and handling special orders.

Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" by embodying our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies, procedures, and cashiering transactions (cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, exchanges)
• Enter all sales and cash accurately at the register
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote add-on sales and store specials
• Arrive promptly, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately
• Remain security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information
• Stay updated on current promotions and store policies
• Practice inventory control and check for boot mismatches
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals (e.g., ADS, UPT, vendor programs)
