Job summary

Kroger in Henderson, NV is seeking a store associate to assist customers and process sales on-site. You will perform cashier duties, maintain a clean checkstand, handle price discrepancies, and answer phones while upholding Kroger’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, prior cashier experience, and the ability to work weekends and overtime. Training and benefits are provided for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Six months cashier experience for Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18+ (19+ in certain states for tobacco).
• Able to pass drug test and work weekends/overtime.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle conflicts calmly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and encourage others to do the same.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, process tender transactions, bag merchandise, make money drops, know produce codes.
• Maintain price discrepancy logs and store cleanliness at checkstand.
• Answer phones and comply with corporate policies; promote company initiatives.
• Ensure Electronic Article Surveillance tags are deactivated or removed at point of sale and respond to pedestal activations.
