Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a part-time Cashier/Server for the school lunch program in Swartz Creek, MI. Shift runs 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, providing meals to students and handling payments. You will support the lunchroom staff, maintain serving areas, and ensure accurate cash handling during service.

The position requires punctual attendance and the ability to follow directions from the Executive Chef, Food Service Director, and Cook Manager. Prior food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve students compliant meals and record their meal at the end of service
• Run cash register, accurately count cash and prepare deposits as needed
• Stock and maintain serving area
• Support lunchroom behaviors and expectations while students are in line
• Clean all food service equipment and accessories including assisting with wiping lunchroom tables
• Punctual, regular, & consistent attendance is required
• Support department at the direction of the Executive Chef, Food Service Director, and Cook Manager
• All other duties as assigned.
