What we’re looking for

For the Cashier, this means greeting and assisting customers with their purchases in a respectful and professional manner, and making sure the customer leaves with a positive and valuable final impression of their shopping experience.

Your Day-to-Day

• Ring out and bag customers’ items at checkout carefully and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Be familiar with the register POS system and specific Universal Price Codes (UPC`s)
• Be familiar with the store layout and the whereabouts of different items
• Carefully and accurately manage and count your cash drawer at the start and remainder of your shift
• If assigned; help out in other departments when needed
• If assigned; assist the self-checkout stations

Working Conditions

• Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of your shift.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
• Communicate with others to exchange information
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces
• When only necessary; ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
