Job summary

GATE Petroleum is hiring a Store Associate to support daily store operations, including food service, customer assistance, and merchandising. You will handle checkout, answer questions, and ensure a clean, well-stocked store while following safety and company policies for alcohol, tobacco and petroleum handling.

The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily store operations including food service as an entity.
• Provide friendly checkout experiences and address customer inquiries.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and well-presented store areas.
• Operate cash register and related payment equipment in accordance with policy.
• Adhere to safety, compliance, and company procedures regarding alcohol, tobacco and petroleum handling.
