Job summary

GATE Petroleum is seeking a Store Associate to join our retail stores. You will greet customers, answer questions about products and services, and maintain a clean, well-stocked store.

You will operate the register, process payments, and help ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role requires flexibility to work weekends/holidays, the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead).
• Ability to successfully work in varying and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist customers with questions about products or services the GATE offers.
• Provide positive interaction with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.
• Ensure a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers.
• Operate the cash register and process payments following company policies.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
• Perform store merchandising such as stocking shelves and front displays.
• Attend required training and safety courses; participate in meetings.
• Report safety hazards and help maintain a safe work environment.
