Job summary

Kj’s Market in Johnsonville, SC is seeking a part-time cashier to warmly assist guests, ring up transactions, and keep the checkout area organized. This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and opportunities to grow with a family-owned store.

You will stand for long periods, handle cash, and help guide customers through lanes to maintain smooth flow, all while delivering friendly service and contributing to a clean, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and reading comprehension.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and move carts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process guests orders to insure proper recording of sales.
• Accurately handle all monies and tender to insure proper accounting of all transactions.
• Properly bag guest orders, place in cart or hand to guest, and follow the Floco Foods carryout practices.
• Work well with all team members to grow community.
• Continually maintain clean work area.
• Direct guests into lanes to maintain guest flow and checkout efficiency.
• Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process guests orders to insure proper recording of sales.
• Accurately handle all monies and tender to insure proper accounting of all transactions.
• Properly bag guest’ orders, place in cart or hand to guest, and follow the Floco Foods carryout practices.
• Work well with all team members to grow community.
• Continually maintain clean work area.
• Direct guests into his/her lane to maintain guest flow and achieve the Guest Arrival standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane to checkout.
• Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
