Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast is seeking aCashier to engage customers with enthusiasm and handle POS transactions accurately on the sales floor.

You'll welcome shoppers, process transactions, and encourage round-up donations to support our mission. The role may require days, evenings, and weekend shifts, with emphasis on friendly service and reliable cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.
• Encourage customer participation in Change Round Up to support the mission.
• Respond to phone calls while offering excellent customer service.
• Assist in training new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor.

POSITION OUTLINE

Do you enjoy interacting with customers? Are you a positive individual who succeeds in multitasking?

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
