Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet customers and process sales at the POS. You will help with price and code accuracy, encourage customers to participate in Change Round Up, and respond to phone inquiries with excellent service.

You will also assist in training new team members and keep the sales floor tidy, organized, and safe. Flexible scheduling includes days, evenings, and weekends in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
