Job summary

Fields Mercedes Benz of Orland Park is seeking energetic team members to join our dealership environment and provide premium customer service. You will handle payments, answer phones, and support clerical tasks in a dynamic service-focused setting.

We emphasize safety, integrity, courtesy, and efficiency, with opportunities for growth within our family-owned business. Hours are Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–8:00pm, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Office a plus.
• Available to work flexible hours on weeknights & weekends.
• Ability to communicate customers' needs to management and sales personnel.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Acceptable driving record per dealership guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments and record amounts.
• Make change and issue receipts.
• Answer phones and direct customers to proper department.
• Handle customer complaints and refer to appropriate person.
• Operate switchboard telephone system.
• Communicate professionally to minimize hold times.
• Assist managers with clerical duties as needed.
• Be friendly, professional, courteous with customers and employees.
• Familiarize yourself with department structures and internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently.

Hours: Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Answer phones and direct consumer to the proper department and follow up in a timely manner
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Operate switchboard telephone system
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
• Assist the managers with various clerical duties as needed
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently

Qualifications
