Our first store, located in Idaho Falls, ID, was called C-A-L Ranch & Farm Supply. The store had less than 3,000 square feet and primarily sold tillage tools and hardware. What You’ll Do:

The cashier role is vital; you are the face of our company. As the primary contact for customers, it’s essential to uphold C-A-L Ranch Stores' standards of professionalism and courtesy. You should possess exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legendary customer service by greeting guests, maintaining high standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
2. Stay informed about products, promotions, and advertisements.
3. Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store cleanliness.
4. Help process and replenish merchandise, including receiving and monitoring stock.
5. Follow all company policies, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
6. Complete sales transactions accurately, maintain cash/media accountability at POS.
7. Communicate guest requests to management.
8. Maintain a balanced cash drawer.
9. Operate the inventory system for price checks and item look-ups.
10. Handle cash, checks, credit/debit card transactions, and issue receipts.
11. Verify totals on register tapes against cash on hand.
12. Process refunds and credit memorandums per store policies.
13. Operate the cash register, scanning items, and displaying purchase details.
14. Complete safety training by watching store safety videos and adhering to safety procedures.
15. Answer incoming calls promptly and forward them appropriately.
16. Assist in training new employees and other associates.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds regularly; occasionally over 25 pounds with assistance and a hand truck.
2. Must be physically present at the store; regular attendance and weekly schedule adherence are required.
3. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. Ability to push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
