Juniors Supermarkets is seeking a cashier to provide friendly, efficient service at the checkout. You will greet customers, scan items, process payments, issue receipts, and maintain a clean checkout area. Role includes stocking, assisting with product selection, and promoting store promotions.

The position emphasizes basic math, strong communication, and the ability to work with a team or independently while upholding cash-handling policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not required.

Job Purpose: To provide friendly, efficient, and accurate service to customers while processing transactions, maintaining the checkout area, and supporting the overall store operations.

• Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.

• Issue receipts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Bag or package customer purchases as needed.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance with product selection.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Stock and replenish supplies at the checkout counter.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
• Assist with other store tasks as assigned, such as stocking shelves or cleaning.
• Resolve customer complaints and engage with management when necessary.
• Promote store promotions and loyalty programs.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

Additional Duties: Management reserves the right to assign additional tasks as necessary to support store operations. Employees will be provided with proper training and protective equipment for any and all assigned tasks that require special handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
