Qualifications

• Cash handling experience preferred but not required.

• Able to operate a cash register and POS equipment.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• TABC (Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
• Issue receipts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Bag or package customer purchases as needed.

• Stock and replenish supplies at the checkout counter.

Job Purpose:- To provide friendly, efficient, and accurate service to customers while processing transactions, maintaining the checkout area, and supporting the overall store operations.Key Responsibilities:- Limited or no prior experience- Works under close supervision- Focused on learning POS systems, basic procedures, and customer service.- Basic procedures and customer service and still developing speed- Communication skills.- Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.- Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment.- Issue receipts and ensure accurate record-keeping.- Bag or package customer purchases as needed.- Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance with product selection.- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.- Stock and replenish supplies at the checkout counter.- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.- Assist with other store tasks as assigned, such as stocking shelves or cleaning.- Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs.- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.Additional Duties: Management reserves the right to assign additional tasks as necessary to support store operations.
