Job summary

My Melrose is seeking a friendly Sales/Cashier at our Hidalgo, TX location to greet customers, assist with payments, and keep the checkout area orderly.

You will ring up sales accurately, handle cash and card transactions, promote the MStyle Loyalty Program, assist with merchandising, and maintain a cheerful, dependable presence all shift. This role requires basic math, familiarity with scanners and cash registers, and a schedule that may vary week to week.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Accurately ring sales on registers and maintain cash and media at the registers.
• Maintain orderly appearance of the cash wrap.
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Communicate the MStyle Loyalty Program to customers and ask them to sign up.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Count money in cash drawers at shift start to ensure correct amounts and adequate change.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and general housekeeping when requested by management.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise.
• Participate in preparation for cycle counts.
• Assist customers in fitting rooms as needed.
• Answer customer questions and refer to a manager if the issue cannot be resolved.
• Clean shelves, counters, tables, racks, fixtures, employee restroom, stockroom, break room, and sweep or mop when assigned.
