Job summary

Beacon is seeking a dedicated Cashier at VSFB to handle customer transactions accurately while delivering excellent service. The role may include basic food/beverage prep and must comply with military dining standards. Typical hours are Monday–Friday with weekends as needed.

Starting pay is $17.75 per hour, with an emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and a positive guest experience. This on-site position requires readiness for varied shifts in a dining facility serving TDY personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience operating a cash register preferred.
• Knowledge of food sanitation requirements and health code standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Operate the cash register to process transactions, including ringing up sales, receiving payments, making change, and issuing receipts.
• Take customer orders at the counter for dine-in, take-out, or serving line service; assist with basic food/beverage preparation as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.
• Accurately account for all funds and complete cashier reports at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to policies for handling ESM patrons and TDY personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
