Summary:

Under supervision and according to policies, operates a computerized cash register, reconciles cash, and performs other department duties. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and staff courteously, providing a remarkable experience.
• Organize cashier area, prepare currency and register supplies.
• Operate cash register accurately, handle transactions, and identify items.
• Verify and balance cash at shift end, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Maintain cash drawer and inventory, monitor stock levels, and order supplies.
• Attend meetings and train new staff.
• Participate in inventory processes and assist during downtime.
• Maintain confidentiality and behave in accordance with organizational values.
• Report hazards and unsafe practices immediately.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; basic math skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic, multitask, and stand for most of the shift.

Reporting:

Reports to the Service Delivery Leader.
