Navy Exchange Service Command in Silverdale, WA is seeking a personable Cashier to provide premier customer service and handle cash exchanges, discounts, and card transactions at the Point-of-Sale system. This role supports service members and their families and requires military base access or U.S. citizenship.

So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

• Proactively engages, connects and listens to customers by asking questions to determine customers’ needs.
• Directing customers to merchandise; informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions all while providing premier customer service.
• Maintains store appearance.
• Using a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards (cash handling) including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.

The Qualifiers:

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Previous Retail Experience preferred but not required
