Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet customers, operate the POS, and help maintain a welcoming store environment. You will encourage customers to participate in Change Round Up and support mission-driven programs.

This full-time role requires 40 hours per week with availability on days, evenings, and weekends; prior cash handling experience and a high school diploma are preferred. Comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

THE POSITION:

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
