Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Dayton, OH seeks an entry-level Cashier/Customer Service team member to assist customers at checkout, bag groceries, and support the Customer Service & E-Commerce vision. You will handle cash register functions, maintain front-end displays, and ensure a friendly, efficient shopping experience aligned with WFM SOPs.

The role requires strong math and communication skills, a team mindset, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

No prior retail experience required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Standing/walking 6-8 hours per day; ability to bend, twist, squat and reach.

Responsibilities

Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
Follows proper cash handling procedures and returns.
Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; adheres to safety standards.
Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
Provides excellent customer service and assists customers with requests and inquiries.
