Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Cashier to efficiently process customer transactions at front registers and provide excellent service in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will handle cash, card payments, and POS transactions with accuracy while maintaining a friendly, energetic demeanor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of grocery retail experience; knowledge of natural foods is a plus. Benefits include weekly pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Front End.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or debit.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks or change due.
• Operate cash register and scan items, entry via PLU/UPC.
• Greet customers and maintain a clean, orderly checkout area.
• Issue coupons and rain checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
