Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a detail-oriented Cashier to efficiently process customer transactions at the front registers. You will maintain cash control, ensure customer satisfaction, and safeguard company assets while providing a friendly, energetic demeanor. Adherence to Front End guidelines is essential.

The role requires greeting customers, operating the POS system, and supporting team goals in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Front End department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register and processes transactions accurately.
• Greets customers entering store and responds to customer needs.
• Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas and ensures no personal items in the area.
• Issues coupons, rain checks, and handles refunds/returns as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Front End management.
