We are hiring immediately for a Full Time Cashier/Food Service Worker position.

Location: Ochsner-Stennis Hospital, 14365 Hwy 16 W, De Kalb, MS 39328. Note: online applications accepted only.

Requirement: Previous experience preferred.

Pay Range: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; support catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties and manage trash removal.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving lines, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if out of range.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Ensure refrigerator stock and product rotation using FIFO.
• Maintain proper stock levels, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
