• We are hiring immediately for a Full Time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: Ochsner-Stennis Hospital, 14365 Hwy 16 W, De Kalb, MS 39328. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; open availability preferred. Must be able to work weekends; more details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous experience preferred.
• Pay Range: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; help with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering procedures accurately; make deposits at the end of shifts.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving lines, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Maintain refrigerator stock and rotate products using FIFO.
• Stock pantries to par levels; record replenishments and refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
