We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Ochsner-Stennis Hospital, 14365 Hwy 16 W, De Kalb, MS 39328. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; open availability preferred. Must be able to work weekends; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous experience preferred.

Pay Range: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Help prepare catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness by performing general cleaning duties and removing trash.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cash transactions, maintain accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food items.
• Set up serving lines, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if temperatures are not within acceptable ranges.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily and ensure refrigerator stock is rotated using FIFO.
• Record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
