We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions.

Location: Oak Hill Cafe - 5 Mobile Infirmary Circle, Mobile, AL 36607. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. Monday - Saturday. Days and hours may vary; more details upon interview.

Requirement: One year of cash handling or food service experience required.

Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Support catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness by performing general cleaning duties and disposing of trash appropriately.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, maintain receipts, and make deposits at the end of shifts.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food items.
• Set up the serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if temperatures are not within acceptable ranges.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock and rotate refrigerator products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Ensure pantry stock levels are maintained and record replenishments and refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
