We are hiring immediately for a full time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: MUSC Health - Florence Medical Center - 805 Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC 29505. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm with occasional weekend shifts from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements: Previous food service, customer service, cash handling, and food prep experience required. Willing to train!

Pay Range: $13.00 to $14.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, including catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; dispose of trash appropriately.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food items.
• Set up serving lines, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if out of range.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock and rotate refrigerator products using FIFO.
• Maintain proper stock levels and record temperatures and replenishments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
