Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to policy on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and respond to repair needs.
• Help customers by answering questions about products in-store and departments.
