Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and assist customers with payments and exchanges. You will help keep the register area organized and support other departments as needed.

Excellent customer service skills, basic arithmetic, and comfort with computers are essential. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to serve diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.
• Retail and/or customer service experience (preferred).
• Bilingual skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
