Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a part-time cashier to provide fast, friendly checkout service in-store. You’ll help customers with payments, exchanges, and basic inquiries while maintaining a clean, safe work area and assisting other departments when needed.

Ideal candidates have basic arithmetic and computer skills, are able to stand for long periods, and can lift up to 15 lbs. Prior retail or cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 lbs with accommodations.
• Experience using a computer and entering information at a register.
• Willingness to learn POS systems and store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, friendly checkout experience to customers.
• Assist customers at self-checkout when needed.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash register, handles payments and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and resolve simple issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
