Job summary

Mead Lumber in Liberal, KS is seeking a reliable Cashier to join our team. You will greet customers, process transactions accurately, and keep the checkout area organized, supporting store management and associates.

Responsibilities

• Learn Mead Lumber products, procedures, culture and customer service philosophy.
• Learn order processing, returns, payments and merchandise receiving.
• Greet customers on entry and thank them on exit.
• Answer incoming calls in a pleasant, effective manner.
• Stay aware of promotions and advertisements.
• Process transactions accurately and maintain cash at registers.
• Handle cash, credit and cards per procedures.
• Issue receipts, refunds or change due to customers.
• Count cash drawer at opening and close each day.
• Stand for up to 8 hours.
• Hardware/lumber knowledge is a plus.
