Job summary

CMC is seeking a reliable cashier to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. You will handle customer transactions, verify cash drawer balances, and assist customers with payments for scrap, while following company policies.

Requires 1–2 years cashier experience, strong customer service, and ability to multitask. Proficiency in 10-key and MS Office is a plus; ability to stand and sit for up to 8 hours. High School Diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years cashier experience
• Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously by prioritizing and organizing assignments
• Proficient in 10-key and able to use a copy machine
• MS Office proficiency – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to sit and stand for up to 8 hours

Responsibilities

• Verifies cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of shift
• Processes customer payments by ticket from Scale Operator; pays customers by cash or check
• Maintains checkout operations following company policies and reports needed changes
• Enters A/P Freight Invoices into database
• Assists customers with Cash Card applications
• Answers incoming calls and transfers as needed; takes messages and routes to contact
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance and work completion
• Performs other duties as assigned
