Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a cashier to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. You will handle cash transactions, assist customers, and support daily checkout operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of cashier experience, strong customer service, multitasking ability, and proficiency with MS Office. The position is on-site, with daily tasks varying between office and shop floor activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years cashier experience.
• Strong customer service skills and a great attitude.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with prioritization and organization.
• Proficiency with 10-key and basic document handling.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Verifies cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of shift.
• Processes customer payments by ticket received from Scale Operator; pays customers by cash or check for scrap sold.
• Maintains checkout operations per DPS and Metal Recycling Entity policies; reports changes.
• Assists customers with Cash Card applications.
• Answers incoming calls and routes messages to the appropriate contact.
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
