Job summary

TPIS is seeking a Cashier Associate to join our client’s team in the supermarket industry in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience through accurate transactions and friendly service.

Full-time hours are 6:00 am to 10:00 pm with rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Compensation is $10.50 per hour; TPIS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma completed.
• Previous experience in cash handling or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Responsible, honest, organized, and proactive individual.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient customer service in the checkout area.
• Scan and accurately register products into the system.
• Process cash, debit/credit card payments, and other authorized payment methods.
• Perform cash register balancing at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain the work area clean and organized.
• Report incidents, cash discrepancies, or operational issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Follow established procedures and policies for cash handling and customer service.
