Job summary

Bally's Interactive in Shreveport, LA seeks a casino cashier role to maintain sizable bankrolls and serve customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, ticketing, tax processing, and advising patrons, with exposure to a smoking casino setting and loud ambience. This is a full-time, on-site position offering hourly pay.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and protects bankroll up to $200,000.
• Services external and internal customers.
• Handles exchanges with Main bank, Change Persons and F&B staff.
• Processes payments for Hopper fills and jackpots.
• Issues Table Fill, receives Table Credits and Name Credits.
• Sells coins, redeems chips and promotional coupons.
• Cashes personal and traveler’s checks.
• Transacts credit card advances and issues markers.
• Operates Jet-Sort machines for coin redemption.
• Records Title 31 transactions on MTLS, CTRs and CCTLs.
• Collects state and federal taxes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Services external and internal customers.
• Handles exchanges with Main bank, Change Persons and F&B employees.
• Handles payments of Slot Hopper Fills and Slot Jackpots.
• Issues Table Fill receives Table Credits and Name Credits.
• Sells coins and redeems gaming chips, and various promotional coupons.
• Cashes personal and traveler's checks.
• Transact Credit Card Advances and issues Markers.
• Operates Jet-Sort Machines for Coin redemption.
• Records all Title 31 transactions on MTL's, CTR's and CCTL's.
• Collects State and Federal Taxes.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The casino is always heavy with cigarette smoke.
• The cages are frequently too cold or too hot, as climate control is set for the comfort of the customers.
• There is a lot of vibration when working in the 3rd level cage.
• The casino is always very noisy. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

Compensation:

• $14.00/hr
