Job summary

Westborn Market in Berkley, MI is looking for a Customer Service Associate to process transactions, assist customers, and maintain friendly service at the Front End. This non-exempt role reports to the Customer Service Manager and Front End Shift Leader.

The position requires basic math, legible writing, and knowledge of products and codes, with a strong focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic math skills, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension.
• Knowledge of current product and codes.

Responsibilities

• Operates POS system.
• Counts and balances cash till before and after shift.
• Bags and packs customer purchases with care.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Collects shopping carts from parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Stocks and maintains displays.
• Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards.
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

This position will require processing monetary transactions for customers with speed and efficiency. You will be expected to provide professional and efficient service to customers while demonstrating a high level of product knowledge
