Job summary

The Consortium of Jewish Day Schools is seeking qualified full-time, day shift kitchen staff to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities include cleaning, basic food prep, taking and processing orders, and cashier duties in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders from Supervisor.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Processes orders quickly and accurately.
• Maintains cleanliness and service standards daily.
• Process orders and enter them into the system.
• Receive payment from customers and provide change.
• Ensure work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean dishes, and some cooking.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining school building, adjacent walks and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly and functional condition. Provides assistance to staff, visitors and other employees as necessary.

• Receives orders fromSupervisor.
• Providing excellent customer service
• Processing orders quickly and accurately
• Maintaining cleanliness and service standards daily
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
• Cleaning dishes, some cooking
• Other duties as assigned
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications:

• The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Ability to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
