Job summary

El Capitan Canyon Market is seeking a friendly Server/Cashier to join our luxury glamping resort team in Santa Barbara, CA. You will report to the Assistant General Manager and help provide a memorable stay for guests through accurate orders and attentive service.

The role requires a positive attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and cash handling with POS experience. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process food orders accurately and timely.
• Recommend meals based on menu and specials.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Store Supervisor to address guest concerns.
• Handle cash and follow POS procedures.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in organizing and restocking retail merchandise.

At the El Capitan Canyon Market, you will work with our team in a fast-paced service environment helping to facilitate an amazing stay for our guests.

Job Summary:

As a Server/Cashier, you will report to our Assistant General Manager. You will work together to…

• Ensure that all food orders from customers are accurate and served in a timely manner.
• Recommend meals to customers based on the menu and specials
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Store Supervisor to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant experience
• Confirm orders with the cooks whenever a clarification is requested
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services
• Follow cash handling and POS procedures
• Follow responsible alcohol service
• Assist in organizing, restocking and receiving merchandise for the retail department.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Previous point of sale system experience is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills in working with high-profile clients.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
