El Capitan Canyon Market at El Capitan Canyon Resort in Santa Barbara, CA, seeks a Server/Cashier to support a luxury glamping experience. You will handle food orders, upsell menu items, and work with the Head Chef and store team to ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

You will process cash, follow POS procedures, and maintain excellent guest relations while assisting in restocking and retail duties. Join a welcoming team in a scenic California location.

Qualifications

At the El Capitan Canyon Market, you will work with our team in a fast-paced service environment helping to facilitate an amazing stay for our guests.

Job Summary

As a Server/Cashier, you will report to our Assistant General Manager. You will work together to…

• Ensure that all food orders from customers are accurate and served in a timely manner.
• Recommend meals to customers based on the menu and specials
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Store Supervisor to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant experience
• Confirm orders with the cooks whenever a clarification is requested
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services
• Follow cash handling and POS procedures
• Follow responsible alcohol service
• Assist in organizing, restocking and receiving merchandise for the retail department.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Previous point of sale system experience is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills in working with high-profile clients.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
