Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at checkout.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
3. Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
5. Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
6. Stay updated on current and upcoming sales and promotions.
7. Comply with food safety regulations and safety programs, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
8. Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs needed.
9. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
10. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
11. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.
12. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
13. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
14. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
15. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
