Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout lane.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
  • Maintain adherence to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with store promotions and ads.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Assist in creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing support.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
