Responsibilities

1. Process customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service.
2. Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and give change accurately.
3. Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints.
4. Follow all front end procedures, assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed.
5. Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, direct customers to product locations, and stay informed about store events and seminars.
6. Ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly at all times.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, scanner, calculator.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and basic math skills.
