Cashier / Front Counter Team Member

Laylas is a family-owned and operated fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant built on quality, consistency, and community. We are looking for a friendly, reliable Cashier who can provide fast, accurate service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

This role is ideal for someone who communicates well, stays organized under pressure, and takes pride in helping customers. As a Cashier, you will manage transactions, answer questions, package orders, and help ensure the front counter runs smoothly throughout the shift.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Take dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders accurately
• Process cash, credit card, gift card, and mobile payments
• Provide correct change and receipts
• Confirm order details, pricing, quantities, and special requests
• Package and bag orders carefully and accurately
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and restaurant policies
• Recommend menu items, sides, drinks, and add-ons when appropriate
• Handle basic customer concerns and involve a manager when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked front counter
• Balance the cash register and follow cash-handling procedures
• Assist with restocking, cleaning, and other front-of-house responsibilities
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and management team
