WAREHOUSE WINES & LIQUORS CORP is seeking a full-time cashier to support daily retail operations in Stamford. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, customer service, and compliance with age verification policies.

You will restock shelves, assist customers with purchases, and maintain a clean workstation on the floor. The position requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and weekend availability.

Formación

• Experience as a cashier or in a customer-facing role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stock shelves and manage inventory.
• Familiarity with basic computer systems and POS.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Ring up sales and bag items.
• Follow age verification policies accurately.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Restock merchandise, including cigarette racks where applicable.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to ringing up sales and bagging items. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Follows the age verification policy with optimum accuracy and without exception.Maintains individual workstations clean and in good working order.Restocks merchandise in overhead cigarette racks, as well as products where applicable.Abides by strict cashier control guidelines as set forth by the Company.Follows all inventory control cashier procedures.Assists all customers while on retail floor maintaining our Customer First Policy.Assists customer with their packages, if necessary.Collects hand shopping baskets and carts, if necessary.Performs additional tasks and special projects as assigned by store manager or his/her assistant manager.Works under immediate supervision.Mandatory availability to work weekends including FridaysHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Full time employees must work 40 hrs a weekRetail experience preferred but not required.Must be able to lift 50 pounds, move boxes and stand for long periods of time.Must have basic computer skills.
