Job summary

Realo Discount Drug Stores Of Eastern North Carolina Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented cashier to provide outstanding service at the pharmacy counter.

You will handle cash, process prescriptions, issue receipts, and maintain tidy checkouts while greeting customers and answering inquiries. Responsibilities include stock and inventory support, reports of transactions, opening/closing the register, and representing the company professionally in all interactions with patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items.
• Greet customers when entering the store.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves.
• Maintain reports of transactions.
• Open and close the Point of Sale register.
• Answer the phone with a courteous, helpful voice.
• Stock shelves with merchandise and assist in inventory counts.

Description of ResponsibilitiesThe Cashier is responsible for providing outstanding customer services to patients of the Company.Reporting RelationshipPharmacist-in-chargeResponsibilities of the Cashier include the following:1. Handles cash transactions with customers using the Point of Sale register2. Scan prescriptions and collect payment3. Post payments to the customers A/R account4. Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items5. Redeem stamps and coupons6. Provide excellent customer service7. Greet customers when entering the store8. Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves9. Maintain reports of transactions10. Performs the duties of opening and closing the Point of Sale register11. Answer the phone with a calm, curteous, helpful voice.12. Stock shelves with merchandise13. Assist in inventory counts14. Assist in answer customers inquiries15. Perform cashier duties for the pharmacy.16. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Pharmacy Manager.17. Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and coworkers.18. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.19. Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement Program as requested20. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.21.
