Job Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain awareness of cash limits, loss prevention, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming ads.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with questions about products.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
