Job Description

Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the self-checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.

A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions, and managing markdowns for various registers and services. They serve as the first escalation point for customer issues and help supervise, coach, and train other front-end associates, including new cashiers, utilizing available tools for coaching and development. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is at least 1 year of cashier experience.
